Hello All! "Some of the instruments have articulations I hardly ever use... How do I create my own, partly-purged instrument versions with only those articulations that I need?" This archive might be helpful. It contains two MIDI files: One can be used to purge HiHat instrument patches and one for all the other drums and cymbals. Each contain a sequence of notes: One note number (key), all velocities from 1-127, 7 notes of each (the HiHat file contains several of these passes with the different MIDI CC#1 controller values for foot pressure). Here is an example. Say you want to create a MIXOSAURUS Snare Drum Open patch that only uses the Tip Center and Rim Shot Center articulations: - insert the KP2 plugin in an instrument track and load the Open Snare Drum patch you want to modify ("Frame" first) - rename the patch (!!!!!) and save it (don't overwrite the standard patch!) - from the Purge Menu, select "Purge All Samples" - put the MIDI file on the KP2 instrument track of your sequencer - transpose the notes so they are at G 0 ("Tip Center") - copy the notes to A# 0 as well ("Rim Shot Center") - from the Purge Menu, select "Reset Markers" - start the sequencer and play through the sequence - from the Purge Menu, select "Update Sample Pool" - save the patch You now have a "Snare Drum Open" patch that has only Tip Center and Rim Shot Center articulations and uses less than 1/3 of the original RAM.
