I think MXA users might enjoy this one as much as I do. I drag it out frequently for practice, jamming and as a seed drum track. What I attempted to do was to emulate Bernard Purdie's explanation of the progression of the famous Purdie Shuffle. Transcribed (not exactly but the best I could) from Bernard's YouTube videos (part one and two) found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9t0VlzJeNvA If you want to create variations Bernie will "splain" it to ya in the video! I know Uwe will immediately notice that our drummer has sprouted an extra arm here and there and the purist might want to eliminate that problem but I'm not a drummer and I often forget how many things can logically happen at once under the hands of a seasoned drummer. My apologies for that. If the HH and ride are not logical together in a particular passage simply mute one of them! That's what I do! Uwe... I built this in ALL SOUNDS (DEMO). Perhaps a mistake? I can retouch, condense and refine if you deem necessary. Cheers Barry Kettery Indianapolis, IN USA Earth barry@imagewavestudio.com ------------------ Uwe's comments: Thanks a lot Barry! You're right, there are a few things in the file that can be improved to make it even more realistic. However, I probably won't find the time to do that in the Xmas season, so I decided to upload it as is. The only change I made was that I transformed it into 4/4 and 6/8 formats.
